Call for proposal requirements

Workshops and table talks must be approved by the school district or county offices of education being represented. Should CSBA hear from a district or county office that a submission was not approved, the proposal will not be accepted for consideration. Proposals that do not meet the requirements below will not be considered for review.

  • Proposals must include at least one board member, superintendent or other staff from a current (2017-18 and 2018-19) CSBA member school district or county office of education on the panel of presenters.
  • Presenters who are board members, administrators or other personnel must be from school districts or county offices that are current (2017-18 and 2018-19) members of CSBA.
  • Presenters are responsible for their own travel and related conference expenses.  
  • Proposals may be accompanied by up to two (2) pages describing the program or supporting documentation outlining the program and local success (e.g., project plan, brochures, press clippings, etc.). Attachments can be uploaded at the end of the online submission process.
  • CSBA does not accept proposals for sessions intended to sell a product or service. If you are a 2018 AEC exhibitor, you may consider submitting a exhibitor table talk.
  • The listed presenters will be notified in July 2018 regarding proposal acceptance.

Important notes

No expenses are paid for the workshop or table talk moderator or presenters. Please read all requirements carefully and thoroughly. If accepted, costs associated with the presentation (including travel, lodging and materials) are the responsibility of your district or county office.

Presenters receive a complimentary one-day non-transferrable conference registration. Presenters interested in attending more than one day of the CSBA Annual Education Conference and Trade Show must register at the current full conference rate.
