Student Board Member Program

Student board members play an integral role in your district. Give them an opportunity to expand their horizons and enhance their role on your governance team by attending CSBA’s student board member program. The $350 registration fee includes a customized program with all materials, the ice cream social, a continental breakfast and the networking lunch. The registration fee after November 9 is $400.

The student board member schedule is flexible to allow maximum interaction with other students and to attend regular conference activities and sessions beyond the student program. All events take place at the San Diego Convention Center, unless otherwise noted.

Ice Cream Social
Meet student leaders from around the state as we gather to share our vision of the student board representative role and purpose on your campus. As a team, we can create a conference game plan to maximize our time together in San Diego to make our goal of raising student voice and participation a reality.

Student Board Member Networking Lunch
The student board member luncheon will feature facilitated discussions to provide students with an opportunity to network and share with each other. Students will discuss their experiences as board members, and share ideas with each other that they can take back to their own districts.

Register the student board member’s chaperone as a Guest to purchase meal function tickets. Meal Function tickets will not be sold the day of the function.

Important note: Housing is not included in the registration fee, and hotel reservations are to be made by the individual’s district through the CSBA Housing Bureau. Districts are responsible for their students while at the conference and must provide adequate supervision. CSBA cannot assume responsibility for students.
