Due to prevailing circumstances around the COVID-19 outbreak, CSBA is offering in-person attendance and virtual attendance registration options for its 2021 AEC.
CSBA reserves the right to cancel in-person attendance at any time for the health and/or safety of attendees or its employees. If CSBA cancels in-person attendance, CSBA will automatically transfer all in-person attendees to virtual registration and refund the difference in registration fees.
In-person attendees shall be required to follow procedures and protocols established at the conference venue and hotels to ensure the health and safety of all attendees. In-person attendees also shall be required to execute a release of liability form, by which the attendee shall agree to voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 or other contagious or infectious disease and to release CSBA from any liability related
to such exposure.
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. Reportedly, a person can be infected and show no symptoms, yet still spread the disease. COVID-19 is reported to cause serious illness and death. CSBA cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while attending a CSBA event or activity. Any in-person interaction at a CSBA event or activity may increase your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.
8/18/21: The California Department of Public Health announced an update to public health guidelines for outdoor and indoor mega events. Indoor mega events are defined as crowds greater than 1,000 attendees. Starting Sept. 20, indoor mega events in California will require proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours before an event starts. Even though the mandate will be in effect until Nov. 1, CSBA is sharing this information with our members in case the state extends this new mandate through December. In the event the mandate is extended through December, CSBA Annual Education Conference and Trade Show attendees and exhibitors will be required to verify their vaccination status or provide proof of a pre-entry COVID-19 negative test to attend. Self-attestation may not be used to verify vaccination status. Please note that this public health mandate carries the force of law and CSBA is not authorized to amend or circumvent it. The AEC website will be updated if and when information about the extension of the mandate is provided by the CDPH. To view the mandate by CDPH, please click here.
